This Masters in Transformative Community Development is a cornerstone of the TEN project. As the project title suggests TEN aims at transformative engagement between practitioners, policy-makers, decision-makers and the Communities of Practice (COPs) in the areas of climate change and food security. We see Universities as having a key role to play in this process given their cross scale interactions with important stakeholders. As immediate outcomes TEN strives to enhance and establish • Sustainable collaborative relationships between the TEN partners • Graduate training to enhance the capacity of agencies to work with vulnerable communities • Increased flows of transformative knowledge and understanding among food insecure rural communities and all levels of the policy hierarchies affecting them.
• Strengthened agency of vulnerable communities with respect to policy-making and knowledge
